How you are helping

By taking on a challenge in support of SeeSaw, you are ensuring we are able to provide support for children, young people and their families in Oxfordshire when they have been bereaved or when somebody close to them is terminally ill.

SeeSaw’s aim is to give bereaved children in difficulty the support they need, so that they can move forward and face the future with hope.

We are not government funded and rely on donations and without fundraising events we simply wouldn’t be able to support people.

We have helped many children and young people through appropriate and timely support, reducing the emotional, psychological and mental health consequences of grief. Below is a quote from a young person we were able to help thanks to our wonderful supporters:

“Thank you for helping me and explaining what would happen to my dad now that he has gone. You have made me understand. I miss him though he will always be in my head and heart. You told me that being sad is ok and tears are love that is spilling out. Thank you ever so much for helping me.”

Child, aged 8.

Don’t forget

Don’t forget, if you do decide to sign-up for one of our fantastic challenges to set up an online fundraising page over on JustGiving, where you can collect donations from your friends, family and colleagues. You can create a JustGiving page using this link.

If you would prefer to collect donations offline, we have a handy sponsorship form in the resources section below that you can download. Once you have filled this in, please contact our Fundraising team via email  [email protected] and we can talk you through how to return this to us.
