About Us

SeeSaw provides support for children, young people and their families in Oxfordshire when they have been bereaved or when somebody close to them is terminally ill.

Our vision is to offer free support before and after a bereavement for all children and young people in Oxfordshire, if they need it.

Each year SeeSaw provides support for over 450 bereaved children. We work directly with children and young people and provide advice to families on how to support their child themselves, either in person, by phone or online. We also offer support to schools and professionals working with bereaved children and provide online resources accessible to all.

What we offer

  • Online Resources

Free videos, guides, and booklets to help children and young people understand their grief, and to help the adults around them feel more confident supporting them.

  • Support for families

SeeSaw offers free support for children and their families when a parent or sibling is dying or has died. We provide information, advice and resources to parents/carers and professionals who care for children.

For many families knowing that someone is ‘alongside’ them in their grief is very helpful, and advice and support to manage the situation is all they need. When it is needed SeeSaw can also offer direct work with a child or young person.

  • Schools and professionals

SeeSaw offers training and support to schools and professionals working with bereaved children and young people.

You are not alone

Just knowing they were there, and still are should we ever need them again, is a great help and comfort
