Join our Youth Panel

We’re looking for young people to join us for a 6-week project to help design our new website. We’ll meet once a week on a Thursday evening, 6.30–8.30pm, from 5 November to 10 December.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for young people who:

  • Are aged 14-19
  • Have used our service
  • Have been bereaved and would like to meet other young people with similar experiences.
  • Are interested in having your say and helping shape what our charity does.
  • Would like to get involved in a creative project and learn some new skills.
  • You don’t have to have any experience in IT, website design, creativity or anything similar.

What is it for? What will you be doing?

Across the six weeks, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Share your ideas about what young people would find helpful.
  • Help us shape our charity and the support and resources we offer.
  • Explore ideas for our website and how it could better support young people.
  • Have a go at website design, creative activities and other skills.
  • Work as part of a team to create something together.
  • You’ll never be expected to share anything personal that you don’t want to.

What can you get from it?

As well as meeting other bereaved young people, this is a chance to:

  • Learn new skills in website design, digital and creative work.
  • Build confidence in sharing your ideas and working with others.
  • Get experience of working on a real project.
  • Have something meaningful to add to your CV, UCAS application or future job applications.
  • Have your voice heard and make a genuine difference to how our charity supports young people.
  • Try something new in a relaxed and supportive environment.

If transport is a barrier for you, please let us know as we have a small bursary available to support with this.
