A Special Evening to Thank our Supporters

On Thursday 17 September, St John’s College, Oxford generously hosted SeeSaw’s Supporters Evening, giving donors, supporters and friends the chance to come together and hear more about the difference their support makes. 

The evening began with a fascinating tour of the college led by Revd Canon Professor William Whyte. Guests then enjoyed drinks and conversation in the Garden Quad before moving into the Auditorium for a programme of presentations and personal stories. 

Alongside updates from the SeeSaw team, beneficiary Henry Saunders delivered a thought-provoking talk on the need for better statistics on childhood bereavement and why this matters for bereaved children and young people. Guests also heard from Lesley Malloch, who shared her remarkable experience of taking on the infamous Marathon des Sables in the Sahara Desert to raise funds for SeeSaw. 

It was lovely to welcome 85 guests to the evening. Thank you to everyone who joined us, to our speakers for sharing their experiences, and to St John’s College for hosting us.
